 WAX RECOMMENDATIONS
WAX WITH US HERE AT IN THE CITY WAX BOUTIQUES!!

In the City Wax Boutiques consist of licensed Master Cosmetologists that specialize in waxing and skin care.

IT IS RECOMMENDED to allow hair to grow two weeks or more to allow a more smoother waxing experience. The hair needs to be about ¼ inch long.

IT IS RECOMMENDED to avoid caffeine before your wax service appointment. It can create anxiety and nervousness before your wax appointment. You may use an aspirin or numbing topical anesthetic 15-20 mins before your appointment.

IT IS RECOMMENDED to make your esthetician aware if you are using Accutane, Retin-A, Differin, Glycolic Acid, Renova, Salicylic Acid, Avage, Apricot Scrub, Neutrogena Scrub, Anita, Strivectin, Tazorac, Proactive, Benzoyl Peroxide, or any other topical or oral skincare (medications) that can affect the outcome of the wax treatment.

IT IS RECOMMENDED to allow plenty of time after waxing before special events to allow for any unforeseen circumstances such as skin irritation. Please book your appointment accordingly..

IT IS RECOMMENDED to make us aware of any prior negative wax service experiences at other locations. Here at In the City Wax Boutiques we will provide the best service possible at every wax appointment.

IT IS RECOMMENDED to wait 24-48 hours after your waxing service to exfoliate. In the City Wax Boutiques will provide each and every client with a “We Care -3 Part AFTERCARE RECOMMENDATION” that will explain to you how to take care of your wax skin area.

NOT RECOMMENDED

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED to exfoliate 1-2 days before your wax service appointment. Waxing is a form of exfoliation and too much exfoliation can cause the wax to burn or irritate the skin.

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED to apply any products using alcohol to the wax skin area.

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED to work out or use heavily perfumed body care in the wax skin area because it may cause ingrown hairs or irritate the skin.
